Hey guys, I’m very sorry to ask this. But, the manager at the apartment complex my family and I are moving into Monday supposedly gave me incomplete move-in charges. I was originally supposed to be paying $510 to get in, and I did last week, but the manager informed me today that I have to actually pay a full month’s rent which is $1342. They apologized for the inconvenience and blah blah but they still want their money if we’re gonna move in lol. So the remainder of that would be $832. I have enough and I’m going to pay it now, but it has severely pushed me back financially because I did not anticipate the extra expense and factor it into my budget. Currently, I do work. I’m working as a substitute teacher where i’m paid biweekly and a research assistant at my university where I’m paid monthly, so I won’t be totally destitute but still quite behind. I live as frugal as possible and I eat pasta all day lol, so I’m not careless with spending. But it would help me so much if I could reach this goal of $832 before November 3rd. I really hate to ask for this, but I don’t have other safe options. You’re under no obligation to donate, but any amount helps no matter how small and spreading this will help too. I will periodically update you all on my progress, and I will also let you know when/if I reach it. If I do reach it, I’ll put this post on private to deter any more circulation. you need to give yourself permission to be happy now. not when you lost weight, not when you found your soulmate, not when you have more money. we seek excitement from future events, but once those goals are met, the temporary pleasures will pass and they will be replaced by the next fantasy. devote your full attention to your inner self and appreciate being in the moment. happiness is never external, but a way of living and appreciating life. it’s not reality, just the way you perceive it. so go and shift your focus from the outcome to watching yourself grow.
